We've had a couple of sick kids on our hands this week. C and M have missed the last two days of school because of fever, cough, crud, etc. They were feeling much better today, so we decided to make spider cookies for Molly's dance party and Charlie's class. They were very easy and turned out cute...
Start by mixing up Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix...
then get your rolos ready to stick on as soon as the cookies come out of the oven...I love the way she lines them up...she is my child:)
once you stick them on the hot cookie, the chocolate melts enough to stick the M&M eyes on...
...I used black cookie icing for the eyes and legs...the original recipe called for licorice legs but I couldn't find any stiff enough to work...I think the icing will taste better anyway...
