Year End Program at HBC 2010

Molly's end of the year program this year had a Noah's Ark theme. It was very cute. All of the classes had hats to represent different animals on the ark. Molly was very excited and knew all of the words to the songs. I can't believe next year will be her last program there. Thanks again to Ms. Linda for teaching our children songs about the promises of God!

Baseball and Brothers

Charlie had a great spring/summer baseball season. This was the first year he had played with the Tupelo Park and Recreation league. It was a little bit more serious about keeping score, striking out, etc. We thought he did very well to be the youngest and the smallest little guy on the team. I think Charlie loved Gray coming to watch him just as much as he did playing. They had a big time together in the dug-out and on the field. Molly wanted no part of it...and that was just fine with me:)

Molly's Love

One day a few weeks ago Molly and I were talking about God's love. It's hard to explain to a four year old about how big His love is. I told her that God loves her more than Mommy and Daddy. I asked her to think about what she loved the most. I told her that God loves her even more than that...she looked at me so surprised and said, "you mean, God loves me more than I love Elise?"

How sweet is that??? They have a very special bond being first cousins born just three weeks apart. I always say that she is the sister Molly will never have...I hope they always stay this close!

Kindergarten Field Day 2010

Charlie ended his kindergarten year at Thomas Street with a fun field day. It was an all day event that included jumpies, games, face-painting, hoola-hooping, snow-cones, etc. I enjoyed being around some of his classmates I had been hearing about all year. He had a very sweet class and teacher. I didn't get a lot of pictures because I was too busy painting faces...here are a few...Here are two buddies...Ella and C.J.

Dance Recital 2010

This year was Molly's first year to take dance. I had a feeling she would like it once she warmed up to the teacher and her classmates. She loved Ms. Shale's class. This year's recital piece was from Cinderella. I loved her little peasant dress. All of the girls looked adorable as they danced to "Cinderelli, Cinderelli." I hope she will enjoy making good friends and good memories taking dance again this year.

DHS please don't come after us!!

My sweet baby Gray has had kind of a bad year. You might think he was being abused if you didn't know better. In January, I thought he had a normal, run-of-the-mill stomach virus. Every couple of days, I figured it had run it's course when he would start feeling a little better and keep food down. This went on for almost two weeks!!! I cleaned up more than my share of poop and vomit. After ruling out everything "normal" he was hospitalized for borderline dehydration. Three days into the hospital stay, he was finally diagnosed with a parasite called "microsporidia." Leave it up to our family to get something weird! Our pediatrician had never seen it and the infection control doctor at the hospital hadn't seen it in five years! Thankfully, there was a medication to kill it. After a few doses it cleared up completely. Unfortunately, he could only have one dose per day and we were in the hospital seven days!! We will never know where or how he got it, but we do know our little man was very happy to get that IV out and be home! Spending a little time with Pop and our other company helped pass the time.

He got really spoiled sleeping in the bed with me for a week...I didn't get much sleep:)

A couple of months later.... little man woke up and wouldn't walk...the first doctor diagnosed him with transient synovitis??? Again, I'm thinking...leave to us to get something weird! Two days later...much worse...he is sent to an orthopedic and diagnosed with sprain/fracture-not sure which...either way it has to be immobilized for three weeks!

...last but not least, he busted his head the same week he got the hand/foot and mouth virus-he was a pitiful sight!!

Through it all, he was still the sweetest baby ever!!

He's doing much better now...so DHS please don't call us;)

Mother's Day Breakfast

The Friday before Mother's Day Molly's dayschool class hosted all of their mothers for a Mother's Day breakfast. They had made us all a "look alike"picture and a bracelet. We enjoyed eating together and Molly loved me being there with all of her friends and their mothers. I look forward to many more Mother's Days with my sweet babies!
