Father/Daughter Ball 2009

Molly has been so excited this week about going on a date with her Daddy. Tonight was the night! She couldn't wait to get all dressed up and go to the Father/Daughter Ball. I don't have any picture from the ball, but S said there was a catwalk, make-up, lots of characters to get autographs from(Barbie, Dorothy, Minnie Mouse, etc.), and lots of food and dancing. They had a wonderful time. It's funny what the dads will allow when the mommies are not around-Molly was on a sugar high for at least two hours after she got home. It took her FOREVER to go to sleep!

My brother-in-law was brave and took all three of his girls! I love this picture of them with Molly. My youngest niece didn't want any part of this picture:)

Molly's buddy and neighbor Lindsey went with her daddy too. Molly couldn't quit staring at her make-up. M loves her some make-up!

I couldn't end this post without showing what we went through to get Molly ready tonight. She painted with her Daddy this morning, and was covered in white primer when she got home. We spent a lot of time picking it all out of her hair. I'm still not sure we got it all!

10 months old!

Okay...I've been neglecting my blog. Gray has been 10 months old for almost two weeks now. I wanted to show you some of his favorite things these days...

Playing ball with big brother...he loves to roll it back and forth saying, "ba...ba...ba" (yes, that means ball)Hanging out with Daddy doing anything...saying,"da...da...da"
He is not happy when the big kids are outside playing in the backyard and he's stuck inside. Any time he spots a dog outside, he barks, "whuh...whuh...whuh"(he also does this when he sees any kind of stuffed animal around the house)

... as soon as he spots his bottle he says,"ba...ba...ba" -what can I say, he is a genius!

...and also a musician

...and a chef

I think he gets it from me, but seeing how he is the spitting image of his daddy,(picture below when he was 6 months old) he may beg to differ!!!

Happy Birthday Gran!

This weekend my family celebrated my mother's birthday. The girls were so excited about the pictures they had made her and could hardly wait until she had eaten before they gave them to her! Charlie was so excited, not only about birthday cake, but about some boys coming to fight lightsabers with him. My nephews used to love Star Wars too, and were very sweet to keep him entertained with fighting and a flag football game!

My sweet neices-Erin Ruth (6), Anna Catherine(7), and Emily Ann(9)

Molly wasn't interested in playing football-just being the cheerleader! And Graybaby got his first taste of homemade ice-cream. He's hooked!

Molly's Prayer

Last night during bedtime prayers...
"Dear God, thank you for making the whole world...thank you for making the animals...thank you for our church...and our teachers... and that we had a good day...and we worshipped about Jesus...and for my pretty dress...(then looking up)...did you like my pretty dress?"
We are still waiting for an answer :)
